On March 1st, 2014 SCNext held a Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CLSSYB) exam for the SCNext student members at Colorado State University. With a training session taking place from 8AM to 12PM followed by the one hour exam, the students showed determination and desire to learn the foundations of Lean and Six Sigma.   Over 15 students and young professionals in the area participated at this session.

The four hour training was given by Dr. Jones from the University of Texas - Arlington via webinar. Dr. Erick Jones is a renowned Six Sigma expert and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. As SCNext members, the students received a large price discount on the exam and review session.  Those who passed can now use the CLSSYB designation to put themselves ahead of the competition when looking for a career.  Certifications look great on resumes and as LinkedIn designations. For those that did not pass, they will get a second chance to pass the exam free of charge.

SCNext has associated with Colorado State University to bring quality training in supply chain to their students. As part of that initiative, a resume session, young professional seminar and six sigma training has been completed. Next on the agenda is a supply chain case competition which will be scheduled in April. Please contact your campus ambassador to enroll
