(Houston, Texas, USA – 24 March 2014) – Supply Chain Council (SCC) is holding its North America conference in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, on 13-15 April – The Tuned Supply Chain:  from Strategy to Resources.

Speaking on Tuesday will be Carol Ptak, Co-author,Orlicky's Material Requirements Planning and Partner, Demand Driven Institute, on Material Planning in a Demand Driven WorldMs. Ptak describes a pragmatic and innovative approach to planning material in a hypercompetitive world where dramatically increasing volatility and variety would seem to negate any possibility of planning. This session describes the poor business results embedded in most of today's demand and supply planning systems; discusses the core problems causing the results; presents and details an alternative demand driven structure for planning and controlling materials flow; and presents initial results from actual implementations.

The complete conference is here.  Registration is half price before March 28 - only $500 for SCC, ISCEA (SCNext), APICS, and ISM members.  There are special room rates at the Inn at Opryland, or the resort is right across the street.  Transportation is readily available to all the famous attractions nearby and music downtown
