SCNext and SAPICS (South Africa APICS) join hands to have SCNext represent the Young professional community in South Africa
The APICS conference in 2014 was a grand event with many attending this prestigious conference from all over the world. This historic moment was celebrated with a special partnership being kicked off by the fastest growing young professional supply chain community in the world SCNext and SAPICS (the leading community of supply chain and operations management in South Africa).
SAPICS is a professional non-profit knowledge-based Association that enables individuals and organizations to improve business performance. SAPICS builds operations management excellence in individuals and enterprises through superior education and training, internationally recognized certifications, conferences, comprehensive resources and a country-wide network of accomplished industry professionals. Over the last few years, SAPICS has identified the young professional community is South Africa and Sub-Saharan African region as a significant area for development. It has a burgeoning community of supply chain young talent which needs to be developed in the right direction to help build SCM future of the country.
SCNext, with its mission dedicated towards young professional development and enhancing their career seemed a natural fit. SAPICS will now represent SCNext in South Africa and provide a platform for this community in the country. SCNext brings to the country it’s expertise and resources from around the globe including competitions, career services, certifications, simulations, foreign exchange opportunities, start-up capital and more all aimed towards advancement of the YP community. SAPICS and SCNext will work together to develop the supply chain fraternity through a young and talented pipeline of SCM professionals

@APICS 2014 Global conference held in New Orleans, LA, the ISCEA held a networking reception with the Demand Driven Institute (DDI) and SCNext to host key participants. This reception was attended by supply chain professionals/enthusiasts and key executives from all over the world. The event started with some general networking and dinner followed by the contract signing between SCNext President Mr. Hasnain Millwala and SAPICS President Mr. Cobus Rossouw. The signing ceremony was attended by senior team members of both the SCNext/ISCEA and SAPICS teams. SCNext is excited to kick-start this partnership in bringing our suite of benefits to the YP community in Africa. SAPICS and SCNext have already started planning for a grand launch conference in March 2015
