The DO School offers the unique One-Year Program for emerging social entrepreneurs who look for training, mentoring and empowerment to start their own ventures.
Until November 27 2014 the DO School invites applications from motivated individuals aged 21 to 31 from around the world to participate in the DO School Packaging Challenge given by H&M:

The goal of this Challenge is for the selected Fellows to create an innovative packaging system for one of H&M Germany’s product lines. By jointly solving the Challenge, Fellows will have learned hands-on how to turn an idea into action during the ten-week Incubation Phase.

Next to solving the Challenge, Fellows individually work on turning their own venture idea into a viable social venture plan that is ready for implementation during the following ten-month Implementation Phase.

H&M Germany challenges the Fellows to create an innovative packaging system for one of their product lines.

The prototype must minimize waste and energy, optimize the handling process and create maximum recycling and upcycling opportunities along the way. It will be implemented in Hamburg, Germany but should be globally scalable and economically viable.

By answering to the Challenge, Fellows will have learned hands-on how to turn an idea into action during the ten-week Incubation Phase. This process is supported by participation in the Challenge Lab, an innovation course which offers knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to successfully solve the Challenge.

While solving the Challenge, all Fellows work on turning their own venture idea into a viable social venture plan that is ready for implementation during the following ten-month Implementation Phase.

Successful candidates may come from, but are not restricted to the fields of packaging technique and design, sustainability studies, logistics, environmental engineering, urban planning, land use planning, architecture, fashion and design, as well as environmental advocacy, retail and human resource management.

THE FACTS

To be successful applicants must show exceptional motivation to start their own social venture and solve the group Challenge.

Implementation Phase, in the Fellows’ home countries: 5/2015 - 3/2016

THE PROGRAM

The One-Year Program is a competitive fellowship enabling emerging social entrepreneurs to launch their own ventures. Each program allows 20 Fellows to learn from passionate peers, engage with current experts, and create change by implementing their social start-ups in their own communities.

The program takes place in two phases, the ten-week Incubation Phase on campus and the ten-month Implementation Phase in the Fellows' home countries.

During the Incubation Phase the Fellows develop their individual business plans and next to that, solve a group Challenge to learn hands-on what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to successfully take action. During the Implementation Phase each Fellow starts their own mission-driven venture with the support of the DO School via an online learning platform, regular coaching sessions and last but not least a widespread Fellow and alumni network.

If you have you own business idea which you want to incubate with international resources, and simultaneously work your supply chain magic with H&M , the DO-School program is for YOU
