SCNext in association with C2X, Operations Club of NITIE and Team Avartan conducted for the first time Live Supply Chain Case Study event “Strategem” during Avartan 2013. Supply Chain has emerged as one of the few business functions which can drive down costs and assist in improving the financial health of organization. Strategem is an amalgamation of Supply Chain Management and Business Strategy.
The event was conducted in two rounds and required teams to unearth sound strategies and feasible solutions to problems that affect the Supply Chain of most modern organizations. In the first round teams had to submit a presentation with robust and feasible solutions based on a live supply chain case study of Starbucks. Participation was received from top B-schools of India and only 7 teams could made it to the final round which included teams from IIMA , IIML , SPJIMR , NITIE and GIM.
The final round was conducted as online webinar session using Google Hangout in which finalist teams presented their ideas followed by questions from jury. The event was judged by eminent judges Dr Manvi Goyal, Director, Think Link SCS and Mr. Ali Hasnen Ghoghai, Executive Director, Skylink Freight Forwarders Pvt. Ltd. All teams came up with innovative strategies and solutions to the case and it was tough time for the judges selecting the best among top teams. After rigorous evaluation from jury, the Team Road Runners from IIM Lucknow emerged as winner and Team Excelsior from SPJIMR took away the Runners-up position .Both the teams received CSCA certifications from ISCEA worth hopping 6000 USD and event added yet another feather to Avartan 2013.
